    The Community extends sympathy to Mrs. Lila Bahner and family in the death of her mother Mrs. Minnie Ellis who passed away suddenly Wednesday. She had been in poor health the past year. She was born in Nemaha Co. in 1883 [and] has lived in Rossville most of her life. Another daughter Mrs. Beth Hartzell of Topeka and one son Edward Ellis of Kansas City, Kan. survives. Services were held Friday 2:00 p.m. Rossville Methodist Church.
