    The community was saddened to learn of the death Thursday, Oct. 15, 1970, of Henry H. Davis, 85. Mr. Davis died in a Topeka hospital following an extended illness with cancer.

    Born July 29, 1985, in West Liberty, Ky., he had lived most of his life in the Rossville community. He was a retired farmer and had served as Rossville Township trustee 26 years.

    Survivors include his widow; Mrs. Emma Davis, of the home; four sons: Francis Davis, of Dorr, Mich.; Glen H. Davis, Elmer D. Davis, D. A. Davis, all of Topeka; two daughters: Mrs. Catherine Haynes and Mrs. Betty Pence, both of Topeka; A step-son: Dr. Jack Enos, Yukon, Okla.; two step-daughters: Mrs. Margaret Underwood, Sunland, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Lou Whitten, Topeka; a brother: Denny Davis, Rossville; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

    Services were held Saturday afternoon from the Parker Mortuary, with burial in Rossville Cemetery.

    A large group from Rossville attended the services.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church.
