    Joseph Wells Davis

    ST. MARYS - Joseph Wells Davis passed away at his home Wednesday, October 28, 2009. He was born September 13, 1921 at Rossville, the son of Marion and Josephine Wells Davis.

    Mr. Davis was a farmer in the Topeka area for 36 years and raised Registered Angus Cattle. In recent years he farmed in the St. Marys area.

    He was preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley A. Davis, Francis Davis and his ½ brother Ted Davis. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Helen Thompson.

    On July 30, 1949 he was united in marriage to Ruth Elizabeth Reser. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his seven children, Josephine Davis, Dianne (Bud) Park, Bill (Marsha) Davis, Debbie (Mike) Bond, David Davis, Brenda Parsons and Melinda Fidler; a sister Linda Korcal; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Davis will lie in state after 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M.     Joseph Wells Davis

    Joseph Wells Davis passed away at his home Oct. 28, 2009.

    He was born Sept. 13, 1921 at Rossville, the son of Marion and Josephine Wells Davis.
