Mrs. Davis' maiden name was Alva [Elva] Wyckoff, of LaMont, Okla., and Marion's long visits in Oklahoma the past two years are now made clear. The marriage occurred on February 28, and they came to Rossville March 4th. |

Dies Saturday
at age of 79
Marion F. Davis, a longtime resident of the Rossville community, died Saturday night, Nov. 16, 1968, in a Topeka hospital. He was 79 years old.
Mr. Davis had been a resident of St. Marys Manor for the past three years.
He was born Jan. 10, 1889, in West Liberty, Ky., and was a farmer before his retirement in 1952.
Mrs. Davis died July 15, 1936.
Survivors include three sons: Francis E. Davis, Rossville; Joseph W. Davis, rural Topeka; and Stanley A. Davis, rural Topeka; a stepson: Marion C. Elkins, Forest Grove, Ore.; two daughters: Mrs. Helen J. Thompson, rural Topeka; and Mrs. Linda K. Haynes, Scottsdale, Arizona.
He also leave three brothers: James B. Davis, Silver Lake; Dennie M. Davis and Henry H. Davis, both of Rossville; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday with interment in Rossville Cemetery.
