Service arrangements are pending at Parker Mortuary for Joseph H. Dean, 72, Rossville, who died Friday in a Topeka hospital.
He was born Oct. 28, 1898, at Rossville where he spent most of his life. He was employed by Rossville Township as a heavy equipment operator before he retired.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Jimmy Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Alma Dean, Rossville; four sisters, Mrs. Lyda Berkey, Rossville, Mrs. Emma Waldrip,
Hanford, Calif., Mrs. Kathryn Maddox, 940 N. Michigan, and Mrs. Edna Bailey, Silver Lake; and two brothers, Delbert Dean, 2036 Colorado, and Charles Dean, Silver Lake.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.

ROSSVILLE - Joseph H. Dean, 72, Rossville, died early today in a Topeka hospital after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 28, 1898, at Rossville, where he had lived all his life.
He was retired heavy equipment operator for Rossville Township. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post at Rossville.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Alma Dean, Rossville; four sisters, Mrs. Lyda Berkey, Rossville. Mrs. Emma Waldrip, Hanford, Calif., Mrs. Kathryn Maddox, 940 Michigan, Topeka, and Mrs. Edna Bailey, Silver Lake; and two brothers, Del-bert Dean, 2036 Colorado, To¬peka, and Charles Dean, Sil¬ver Lake.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Parker Mortuary. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
