    THOMAS J. DEAN
    Thomas J. Dean, 60, died Sunday afternoon at his farm home a mile south of Rossville. He was born July 3, 1896, near Rossville and was a lifelong resident of this community. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Hesperian Lodge No. III, A.F. & A.M. of Rossville.

    He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alma Dean of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Maddox, Topeka, and Mrs. Edna Bailey of Grove, Mrs. Emma Waldrip of Lemoore, Calif., and Mrs. Lyda Berkey of Rossville; and three brothers, Delbert and Charles Dean, both of Topeka, and Joe Dean of the home.

    Funeral services were at 2 pm today at the Rossville Presbyterian church, with burial in Rossville Cemetery.
