    Mr. and Mrs. George W. DeBacker, Sr. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday, April 16, with a reception in their home to be hosted by their sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. DeBacker, Kansas City, and Mr. and Mrs. George DeBacker, Jr., Delia.

    No invitations are being sent but friends and relatives are invited to call between 2:00 and 4:00p.m. The couple asked that no gifts be presented.

    Mr. and Mrs. DeBacker were married April 26, 1922, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia and will celebrate the Anniversary Mass on the 16th.

    They have resided in the Delia community their 50 years where he has been a farmer and cattleman.

    The DeBackers have five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

    George W. DeBacker
    DELIA — George W. DeBacker, 74, Delia, died Wednesday morning at his home after suf¬fering an apparent heart at¬tack.
    He was born Dec. 24, 1900, at St. Marys, and had lived in the St. Marys and Delia areas all his life.
    He was a retired farmer. Mr. DeBacker was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia and the Knights of Co¬lumbus Council No. 657 at St. Marys.
    He was married to Margaret Mulligan on April 26, 1922, at Delia. She survives.
    Other survivors include two sons, Gerald E. DeBacker, Bel-ton, Mo., and George C. De¬Backer, Delia; a brother, Fran¬cis DeBacker, 2218 Wilmington Court, Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Hartley, 527 Tyler, Topeka, and Mrs. Virginia Bailey, Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren and two great¬grandchildren.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
    Parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys.
