| Anniversary- Decker, Ernest and Mary 1 Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker Celebrate 55th Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Rossville, were honored by their children on their 55th wedding anniversary with a dinner at China Inn in Topeka Friday evening, January 28.
Guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stach, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Meyer, Gretchen and Blake, all of Rossville; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Decker, Brent, Emily and Bryce and Mr. and Mrs. Urban Schmitz and Matthew, all of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Steele, Rod and Russ, St. Marys.
Mr. and Mrs. Willis Decker, Kansas City, Mo., were unable to attend, but called earlier in the day.
The Deckers were married January 28, 1922, at Topeka and will have resided in the Rossville community 55 years this summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Rossville, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary quietly in their home Thursday.
They were married Jan. 28, 1922, in Topeka, and have lived in Rossville all their married lives.
They have four children: Winifred Stach, Rossville; Willis Decker, Kansas City; Gerald Decker, Topeka; and Charlotte Steele, St. Marys; and 14 grandchildren. |

ROSSVILLE - Mrs. Mary M. Decker, 85, Rossville, died Monday, Feb. 27, 1989, at a Rossville nursing home.
Mrs. Decker taught in Brewer School near Mayetta before she was married.
She was born May 13, 1903, at Indiahoma, Okla., the daughter of Daniel G. and Ellen Coen Orrick. She was graduated from Denison High School.
Mrs. Decker was a member of the Rossville Christian Church where she taught Sunday school classes many years.
She also was a member of the former Amaryllis Chapter No. 321 of Order of Eastern Star in Rossville more than 40 years where she had been chapter organist and held sev¬eral other offices. She currently was a member of Loyal Chapter No. 176 of Order of Eastern Star in Silver Lake. She was a graduate of the Mrs. Flo V. Menninger Bible Class.
She was married to Ernest Decker Jan. 28, 1922, in Topeka. He sur¬vives. A son, Robert Decker, died in September 1973.
Other survivors include two daughters, Winifred Stach, Rossville, and Charlotte Kling, St. Marys; two sons, Willis Decker, Kansas City, Mo., and Gerald Decker, Topeka; a half sister, Ruth Coleman, Alameda, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Christian Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Ross¬ville Cemetery. Mrs. Decker will lie in state after noon today at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys where relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. today. She later will lie in state an hour before service time at the church. Memori¬al contributions may be made to the Christian Church in Rossville.

On January 28, 1922, she married Ernest Decker in Topeka. He survives at the home in Rossville.

to Loyola Chapter #176, Order of the Eastern Star at Silver Lake (following the merger with Amaryllis Chapter #321, Rossville) where she served as chapter organist and held other offices over the years. She be¬longed to the Eastern Star for 40 years. She was a graduate of the Flo Menninger Bible Study Course. She will lie in state after 2 p.m. Tuesday (this afternoon) at Verschelden Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She will lie in state from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Rossville Christian Church on Wednesday, before the service at 10:30. Interment will follow in the Rossville Ceme¬tery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church.
