  Documents » Slide Show		Anniversary- Decker, Ernest and Mary 1 Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker Celebrate 55th Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Rossville, were honored by their children on their 55th wedding anniversary with a dinner at China Inn in Topeka Friday evening, January 28. Guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stach, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Meyer, Gretchen and Blake, all of Rossville; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Decker, Brent, Emily and Bryce and Mr. and Mrs. Urban Schmitz and Matthew, all of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Steele, Rod and Russ, St. Marys. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Decker, Kansas City, Mo., were unable to attend, but called earlier in the day. The Deckers were married January 28, 1922, at Topeka and will have resided in the Rossville community 55 years this summer.
  		Anniversary- Decker, Ernest and Mary 2 Mr. and Mrs. Decker Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Rossville, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary quietly in their home Thursday. They were married Jan. 28, 1922, in Topeka, and have lived in Rossville all their married lives. They have four children: Winifred Stach, Rossville; Willis Decker, Kansas City; Gerald Decker, Topeka; and Charlotte Steele, St. Marys; and 14 grandchildren.

Helen and Willis were high school sweethearts and were married at the First Christian Church in Topeka on October 27,1945. They attended the 50th class reunion of Rossville High School this summer.

• Documents		Obituary- Decker, Willis Willis G. Decker ROSSVILLE - Willis G. Decker, 76, Rossville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Willis was born May 3, 1927, at Rossville, the son of Ernest and Mary Orrick Decker. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Decker Asphalt Co. in Kansas City. He lived in Kansas City until his retirement in 1990, when he moved back to Rossville. Willis was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Silver Lake. He married Helen Immenschuh in October 1945. She survives at the home. Other survivors are three daughters, Sharon and her husband, Don Will, Paola, Wanda and her husband, Rick Jones, Cape Coral, Fla., and Glenda and her husband, Joe Ammon, Bradenton, Fla.; three grandchildren, Tonya Smith, Laura Bruchman and William Franklin; two sisters, Winifred Stach, Rossville, and Charlotte Kling, St. Marys; a brother, Gerald Decker, Topeka; and a brother-in-law, Marvin Immenschuh, Delia. Mr. Decker was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Decker; and a granddaughter, Lisa Jones. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lakeside Baptist Church in Silver Lake. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. He will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at Piper Funeral Chapel, in Rossville, where there will be a family visitation from 7 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Rossville Community Library, 407 Main, Rossville, Kan. 66533, or to Lakeside Baptist Youth Building Fund, 10435 Parr Road, Silver Lake, Kan. 66539. Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville is in charge of arrangements.
