| Obituary- DeKeyser, Richard Richard DeKeyser
Richard J. DeKeyser, 58, 709 Sumner, died Tuesday in a Topeka hospital where he had been a patient since Aug. 12. He apparently suffered a massive abdominal hemorrhage.
He was born Sept. 5, 1915, near Delia and lived in Topeka 51 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army from 1942 to 1945. He was employed by Santa Fe Railway 31 years before he retired. He was a machinist.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, the American Legion, and the Brotherhood of Railway Machinists.
He was married to the former Geneva Germonprez. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Gary Jensen, Route 2; a daughter, Mrs. Janice Ann Chaffin, Hays; a stepson, Robert Duff, 729 Oakland; a brother, August DeKeyser, 902 Poplar; two sisters, Mrs. Marcella Johnson, 204 Carnahan Place, and Mrs. Agnes Koehler, 5246 S.E. Ratner Road, Berryton; and seven grandchildren.
Brennan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
