GRANTVILLE - Emiel Joseph “Mike” DeWilde, 64, Grantville, died Thursday, June 4, 1987, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. DeWilde was a self-employed farmer and truck driver.
He was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Delia, the son of Rene and Zoe Daniels DeWilde. He lived in the Perry-Grantville area since 1942.
Mr. DeWilde was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church at Perry and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 555 at Topeka.
He was married to Wilma Trendel June 10, 1950, in Topeka. She survives. A daughter, Margaret Sue DeWilde, died in infancy.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Theresa McMillan, Grantville, and Mrs. Linda LaDuke, Lecompton; two sons, Michael DeWilde, Grantville, and Mark DeWilde, Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Marie Rose, Silver Lake; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sat¬urday at Brennan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Newman Mr. DeWilde will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7 I p.m. today.
