    WESS DEXTER

Jason Westle Dexter died at his home near Silver Lake, July 3rd and was laid to rest in Silver Lake cemetery, Saturday, July 5, 1919. The funeral was held at the home conducted by Rev. E.K. Resler of the Silver Lake M.E. church.

He was born at Burlingame, Kan., Dec. 10, 1884, and was married to Lulu Kincaid of Topeka, Mar. 11, 1906. To this union four children were born— Callie, Lena, Westle and Jimmie. His mother, Mrs. Dexter, and sister, Mrs. Lawless, live in Topeka; his two brothers, William and James are in California.

His death was the result of blood poisoning and he was sick but a few days. Wess had lived around Silver Lake most of his life and leaves hosts of friends, which is being proven by the way they are taking up his work, assisting the loved ones he had to leave. He was a member of the M.W A.

We will all remember Wess as always being whole-souled, honorable and ambitious and a loving husband and father.
