| Obituary- Dice, Charles Charles I. Dice
Charles I. Dice, 89, of Topeka, died Saturday evening, Jan. 8, 2005, at Rossville Valley Manor.
He was born March 14, 1915, in Topeka, the son of George and Violet Price Dice. Mr. Dice graduated from Washburn High School in 1935 and served with the Company A 602nd Tank Destroyer Battalion of the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Hill’s as a supervisor.
Survivors include a son, Charles R. Dice, Topeka; a daughter, Nancy L. Clites, Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren, Davey Clites, Kim Hamrick and Sara Dice; and three great-grandchildren.
Committal services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Auburn Cemetery in Auburn. Military graveside honors will be conducted by a U.S. Army detail from Fort Riley.
Mr. Dice will lie in state after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
