    Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick, Sr., Rossville, are invited to help them celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, December 28, 1986, at 2:30 p.m. Bennie Oliver Dick and Lorena May Ellwood were married December 31, 1926, at Ottawa, Ks. They have lived in Rossville since 1939.

    The reception in the Rossville Christian Church, 411 Spruce, will be hosted by their children: Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dick, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dick, all of Rossville.

    Mr. and Mrs. Dick have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Dick is a retired farmer.

    ROSSVILLE — Bennie O. Dick Sr., 85, Rossville, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1993, at a Topeka hospital.

    He was born April 19, 1907, in Williamstown, the son of Isaiah S. and Elizabeth Gay Dick. He spent his early life in Williamstown and moved to Rossville in 1939.

    Mr. Dick was a farmer and established the Bennie Dick & Sons Fertilizer Business in 1956. He retired in 1972.

    He was a member of the Christian Church, Hesperian Lodge No. 111, AF&AM, and Senior Citizens Center, all in Rossville, and Scottish Rite bodies, Arab Shrine, and Moose Lodge, all in Topeka.

    He was married to Lorena May Ellward Dec. 31, 1926, in Ottawa. She died Nov. 11, 1988. A son, Melvin Oliver Dick, died in 1927.

    Survivors include three sons, Gary L. Dick, Topeka, and Bennie O. Dick Jr., and Wayne G. Dick, both of Rossville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Christian Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Dick will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys where visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Church in Rossville.
