In 1956, he voluntarily joined the Navy & reached Store Keeper, 3rd class (SK3), on the USS Macon where he served until 1959. He was devoted to his family & enjoyed these hobbies: traveling to all 50 states & multiple countries, family pictures & movies, & gardening.
