    William J. Driscoll, 75, of Rossville, passed away May 3, 2012. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Rossville Christian Church on June 16 at 10:30 a.m. in Rossville. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann; children, Belinda (Randy) Phillips, Rodney (Elizabeth) Driscoll, Renee (Tim) Zeller, Curt (Leonila) Driscoll, Shannon (Marisa) Driscoll; grandchildren, Tegan, Isaac, Zachary, Zoe, Colin, Sarah, Adam, (Philippines) Joana and Diana; sisters, Bernadine Bohannon, Ruth Watkins, and June Brown; his dachshunds Ginger and Lucy.

    William J. Driscoll
    William (Bill) Junior Driscoll, 75, of Rossville, passed away May 3, 2012. Cremation has taken place.
    He was born January 18, 1937 in Jackson County, Kansas to William Cornelius Driscoll & Ola Alice Burget Driscoll of Wetmore, Kansas. He attended Wetmore Elementary followed by his graduation in 1955 from Wetmore High School as class Salutatorian behind his twin sister & Valedictorian, June Driscoll. In 1956, he voluntarily joined the Navy & reached Store Keeper, 3rd class (SK3), on the USS Macon where he served until 1959. He worked for Adam’s Business Forms as an engraver & printer for 32 years retiring in 1991.
    He met the love of his life, Shirley Ann Cowen, in 1963. They married on February 29, 1964 in Topeka, Kansas. The young family moved to Rossville in 1969 for the small town lifestyle. Throughout their marriage, they enjoyed the birth of five children, Belinda Kathryn, Rodney Earl, Renee Ola, William Curt & Shannon Neil.
    While in Rossville, he was an active member of the Rossville Christian Church, the Rossville High School Booster Club, and as a Rossville Grade School volunteer. As a National Weather Service volunteer from 1972 to 2007, he recorded the amount of daily precipitation & Cross Creek water levels as needed during multiple floods. He was devoted to his family & enjoyed these hobbies: traveling to all 50 states & multiple countries, family pictures & movies, & gardening. He loved to experiment with a variety of plants — celery, peanuts, cotton, & heirloom tomatoes.
    He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann, children & their families: Belinda & Randy Phillips - Tegan & Isaac; Rodney & Elizabeth Driscoll - Colin, Sarah & Adam; Renee & Tim Zeller - Zachary & Zoe; Curt & Leonila Driscoll - Joana & Diana (Phillipines); Shannon & Marisa Driscoll; sisters - Bernadine Bohannon, Ruth Watkins & Wilda June Brown; dogs — Ginger & Lucy.
    Preceding him in death were his parents — William C. & Ola Driscoll; siblings - Hazel Ford & Burton Driscoll, & his beloved dachshund, Gunther.

    Memorials can be made to the Rossville Christian Church which is beginning an after school program for youth.
    Children were a focus of Bill's life beginning with his nieces & nephews, his children & their activities, volunteering at RGS, being Santa or a clown, & most recently, his many seasonal yard decorations for children of all ages to enjoy!
