| Obituary- Droegemeier, Janice Janice L. “Jan” Droegemeier
Janice L. Droegemeier, 65, Paxico, died Monday, September 29, 2003, at her home.
She was born July 10, 1938, the daughter of Chris and Ruth Simms Colstron [Colstrom] in Osage County, KS. They preceded her in death. Also two brothers, Jim and Paul Colstrom, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Droegemeier grew up in the Rapp community west of Osage City and attended Rapp Grade School. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1956. She had worked for Hallmark Cards, St. Francis Hospi¬tal, and had been the head cook at Maple Hill Grade School for 10 years. She owned and operated Paxico Florals since 1990. She was a member of the Rossville Christian Church, and the Wabaunsee County Garden Club.
On January 1, 1957, she married Charles “Chuck” Droegemeier in Osage City. He survives.
Other survivors are a son, Charles “Chuck” Droegemeier Jr., Maple Hill; two daughters, Terry L. Ronsse and Connie L. Arensman, Topeka; three brothers, Tom Col¬strom and Jerrald Colstrom, Osage City, and John Colstrom, Lawrence; a sister, Jeannie Stephenson, Hia¬watha; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the Rossville Christian Church Tuesday (this evening) from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Rossville Christian Church.
Inurnment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church or Midland Hospice, and sent in care of the Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys.
