    EDWIN LEE “DUTCH” FAIR
    Edwin Lee “Dutch” Fair, 78, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at his Rossville home.
    He was born Jan. 10, 1934, at Manhattan, the son of Carl Fair and Irene Zeller Fair. Dutch grew up in Wabaunsee County and graduated from Alma High School, and served in the United States Army.
    Dutch had been a mechanic and last had worked as a supervisor for the Topeka Transit Authority. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rossville. He also was a member of Post No. 400 of the American Legion, Topeka. Dutch was an avid fisherman and owned Gone Fishin’ Rods, and had made many beautiful fishing rods. He had been active in the Catfish Tourney at Perry Lake. Dutch loved the outdoors and had a passion for golf.
    He was united in marriage to Carol Ludwig Parr at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, June 7, 2003. She survives of the home.
    Other survivors include two sons, Michael L. Fair and Richard Fair both of Topeka; a daughter Karla K. Deiter, Meriden; a sister, Patricia Tornedan, Kansas City; four grand-children, five great-grandchildren with one expected at any time.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Marys.
    Inurnment will be at a later date.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice or Kansas Wildlife and Parks and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple, St. Marys, KS 66536.
