| Anniversary- Fauerbach, Lewis and Mabel Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Fauerbach were very agreeably surprised, Sunday, by some of the relatives. The occasion was their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, and also Mrs. Fauerbach’s birthday anniversary. Their son and daughter presented them with a huge cake decorated with white roses and silver leaves. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. John Kesler, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Kesler, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kesler, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kesler and son Leo. of Perry, Mrs. Blanche Allen and baby, Leo Joseph of St. Marys, Miss Jennie Kesler, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rezac jr., John Fauerbach, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Fauerbach. |

John H. Fuerbach, 83, Rossville, died Wednesday, September 16, 1998, at St. Marys Manor.
He was born June 22, 1915, at Maple Hill, the son of Lewis D. and Mable M. Kesler Fauerbach.
He lived in the Rossville community since 1926.
He grew up in the Maple Hill community and attended Twin Rose schools. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church. He was a 60-year member of Lake Lodge No. 50 AF/AM, Silver Lake. He was a 50-year member of Loyal Chapter No. 176 Order of the Eastern Star, Silver Lake. He had served as Worthy Patron in the Star.
He was married to Catherine E. Reser on August 11, 1941, at Lyndon.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine E. Fauerbach, of the home; two daughters, Judy Fauerbach, Topeka, and Bonnie Fauerbach, Rossville; three sons, William Fauerbach and James Fauerbach, both of Emporia, John E. Fauerbach, Topeka; eight grand-children and five great-grandchildren.
His service was Saturday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Lake Lodge No. 50 conducted a graveside service. Family visitation was Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Presbyteri¬an Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

ROSSVILLE — John H. Fauerbach, 83, rural Rossville, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at a St. Marys nursing home.
Mr. Fauerbach was a farmer.
He was born June 22, 1915, at Maple Hill; the son of Lewis D. and Mable M. Kesler Fauerbach. He was raised in Maple Hill and attended Twin Rose Schools.
Mr. Fauerbach was a member of Rossville Presbyterian Church. He was a 60-year member of Lake Lodge No. 50 AF&AM at Silver Lake and 50-year member of Loyal Chapter No. 176 of the Order of the Eastern Star at Silver Lake.
He was married to Catherine; E. Reser on Aug. 11, 1941, at Lyndon. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Judy Fauerbach, Topeka, and Bonnie Fauerbach, Rossville; three sons; William Fauerbach and James Fauerbach, both of Emporia, and John E. Fauerbach, Topeka; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St.; Marys. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery, where Lake Lodge No. 50 will conduct graveside Masonic services. Mr. Fauerbach will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
