| Obituary- Fiedler, Brian Brian L. Fiedler
ROSSVILLE- Brian L. Fiedler, 38, Rossville, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Topeka of injuries he received in a one vehicle accident on July 15, 2008.
He was born August 24, 1970 at Manhattan the son of Bernard and Margaret Flerlage Fiedler. Brian grew up in the St. Marys community and graduated from St. Marys High School in 1989. He was a field operations supervisor for Designer Construction Company in Manhattan and had been working at Ft. Riley. He had previously worked for Kolde Construction in St. Marys for many years. Brian was active with his children and was involved with Tae Kwon Do and coaching T-ball and baseball. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion at Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 in Rossville. He was also a member of the post Legion Riders and the Patriot Guard.
He was united in marriage to Mindy Phoenix on October 8, 1994 at St. Marys. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children, T.J. and Jaycee both of the home: his parents, Bernard and Marge Fiedler, St. Marys; brothers, Bernard "Butch" (Carla) Fiedler, Portland, OR., John (Cindi) Fiedler, St. Marys, Rick (Dawn) Fiedler, St. Marys, Mark (Cindy) Fiedler, Topeka, Paul (Annette) Fiedler, St. Marys, Larry (Shelley) Fiedler and Kevin Fiedler all of Girdwood, AK.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Brian will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 23rd at the church where there will be a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery with Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 Sons of the American Legion conducting graveside services. Memorial contributions may be made in Brian's name for his children, T.J. & Jaycee and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
