  Obituary- Gilbert, Mary MRS. MARY E. GILBERT Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 11 a, m. at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary for Mrs. Mary E. Gilbert, who died late last Wednesday night at Quinter, the result of injuries suffered in a car accident. Mrs. Gilbert’s home was at 305 East Eighth, and the body was returned to the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary in Topeka late Thursday night. According to reports received Mrs. Gilbert was riding in one of two cars involved in the head-on collision near Quinter. Mrs. Gilbert was born at St. Marys, June 1, 1908, and had lived in Topeka for 25 years. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George McConnell of 841 North Harrison. She also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Louis Trahoon of Rossville, Mrs. Neal Carney of Miami Fla., Mrs. Charles Phelps of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Glenn Hebb and Mrs. Ray Keitzman, both of Topeka; brothers Andrew McConnell of Kansas City, Mo., and Francis McConnell of Topeka and several nieces and nephews.
