  Obituary- Gilliland, Jesse Jesse M. Gilliland HOLTON — Jesse M. Gilliland, 60, Salina, a former Jackson County resident, died Sunday at a Salina hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1918, at Wetmore, the son of Albert and Hattie Conger Gilliland. He spent most of his life in Jackson County before moving to Salina several years ago. He was a janitor at the Assembly of God Church in Salina and was a member of the church. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Houck, Delia, and Mrs. Lena Webster, Whiting; and three brothers, Edwin Gilliland, Atchison, Har¬vey Gilliland, Effingham, and Everett Gilliland, Lancaster. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monitor Heart Fund of Holton in care of the Mercer Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holton Cemetery. Friends may call at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton, after 4 p.m. Monday
