    Delman Gooderl
    Holton - Delman Gooderl, 90, of Hoyt, KS passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Jackson County Medicalodges in Holton, KS.

    Delman was born June 1, 1923 in Jackson County, the son of Scott and Anna May (Akers) Gooderl. He graduated from Hoyt High School in 1941 and he farmed. Delman married Mazie McClain on July 27, 1946. They managed the Downtown Topeka Farmers Market for several years. He was proud when he and Mazie were inducted into the Master Farmers/Master Homemakers Association Class of 1981.

    Delman is survived by: his wife Mazie Gooderl of Rossville, KS; his children, Leslie Gooderl (Lee Ann) of Holton, KS, and Nancy Little (Randal) of Rossville, KS; his 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son Stephen Gooderl and his brothers Donald and Gerald Gooderl.

    Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at Hoyt Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday February 12.
