    Obituary- Goyette, Omer
    Omer Goyette who died last Thursday evening in a Topeka hospital, was taken to Elsmore, Kansas, his parents’ home, last Friday, and the funeral held Saturday, Dec. 15, at 2 p. m.

    Omer had been gradually declining in health for a long time but it was not until Sunday, Dec 2. that friends here could prevail upon him to seek medical aid, and even then he was suffering with erysipelas which had developed several days before From the time he went to the hospital his condition became critical and after complications set in his death followed 12 days later.

    Omer came to Rossville in the fall of 1907 to work for Arch Armstrong, of St Marys, who had purchased the Pierce drug store. In the spring of 1908 the store was sold to Frank Goyette, of Elsmore and Omer placed in charge. Previous to coming here he had worked at Vallev Falls and Onaga, Kansas, after his graduation from K.U. in the summer of 1905.

    He was born April 9, 1886 and was just past 31. He was a member of Hesperian Lodge, No. Ill, A. F. & A. M. He is survived by his little son Frank jr., his parents, one sister and four brothers.
