MANHATTAN — Jessie Mae Fletcher, 87, Manhattan, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at a Wakefield nursing home.
Mrs. Fletcher worked in food service at Kansas State University until she retired in 1970. She moved to Heritage Village in Wakefield on July 13, 1984.
She was born Aug. 27, 1905, in Rossville, the daughter of James P. and Hulda Taylor Barton. She lived in Mayetta and Silver Lake before she moved to Manhattan in the late 1920s.
Mrs. Fletcher was a life member of Rebekah Lodge No. 370 in Riley.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Jean Rowland, White City; a son, James Edward Fletcher, American Falls, Idaho; a sister Georgia Goodnight, Grace, Idaho.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Johnson Funeral Chapel in Junction City. Burial will be in Skiddy Cemetery southeast of Junction City. Family and friends will meet from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral chapel, where memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Village in Wakefield.
