ST. MARYS—Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Im¬maculate Conception Catholic Church here for Thomas M. Grace, 74, St. Marys, who died Monday night in an Alma rest home.
He had been admitted to a Topeka hospital Feb. 4, 1968, after he suffered burns in a fall against a heater. He later suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was a patient in the hospital many weeks.
He was born Dec. 30, 1897, at Delia. He lived at Kansas City, Kan., about six years before he returned to Delia in 1927. He moved to St. Marys in 1939. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at St. Marys.
Mr. Grace was employed in the maintenance department of St. Mary’s College about 20 years before he retired in 1966.
He was married to Mary Kane May 19, 1921, at Kansas City, Kan. She died March 1, 1935.
Survivors include a son, Thomas P. Grace, Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Olson, Shawnee; three brothers, Martin Grace, 315 E. Paramore, Topeka, Raymond Grace, Delia, and Richard Grace, Wamego; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Van de Weile, St. Mays, and Mrs. Agnes Kennedy, 415 Emmett, Topeka; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Wake services will be at 7 p.m. today at Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys.
