    H.A. ‘Tuffy’ Graham
    H.A. “Tuffy" Graham, 71, Topeka, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.

    Mr. Graham worked 37 1/2 years for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. before he retired. He also had played semi-professional baseball.

    He was born March 22, 1920, at Delia, the son of Claud and Lillie Anders Graham.

    Mr. Graham was a member of Gage Bowl Senior Citizens League and Horseshoe Pitchers Association. He was a former Topeka horseshoe champion and the Tuffy Graham Open horseshoe tournament was named for him.

    He was married to Lucy Wilkerson May 24, 1942, in Topeka. She survives.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Ruthi Montecinos, Topeka; two sons, Richard A. Graham, San Jose, Calif., and Virgil Graham, Topeka; a sister, Floye Barnard, Topeka; a brother, Gerald Graham, Kansas City, Kan., and seven grandchildren.

    Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends will meet from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capt. Stan D. Curyea Scholarship Fund, Washburn University, 1700 S.W. College, 66621.
