Mart E. Graybeal, 48, Route 1, Silver Lake, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Sunday after he was stricken at a farm near Carbondale. He apparently had a heart attack. 
 
He was born Feb. 6, 1926, at Burlington. He was employed by Rock Island Railroad as a car inspector 23 years. He was a member of Southwest Christian Church. 
 
He was married to Grace Graybeal. She survives. A son, Floyd Graybeal, died in 1950 and a daughter, Althea Graybeal, died in 1951. 
 
Other survivors include a son, Michael Graybeal, Topeka; four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Thomas, Rossville, Mrs. Teresa Crouse, Silver Lake, and Della Graybeal and Sheilla Graybeal, both at home; four brothers, June Graybeal, Lyndon, Francis Graybeal, Boulder, Colo., Wesley Graybeal, Denver, Colo., and Wilbur Graybeal, Delia; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Salee, Edgerton, Mo., Mrs. Lucille Doherty, Topeka, and Mrs. Addie Brougher, Delia; a stepsister, Mrs. Yvonne Shepard, Burlington; and a granddaughter. 
 
Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
