    CLARK GRESSER
John Clark Gresser, aged 48 years 3 months and 7 days, died at Fort Riley, Kansas, Sunday, at 8:55 p. m., unexpectedly from an acute heart ailment.

Besides his widow he leaves a daughter, Jeanne, aged 12, and four brothers, E. S. Gresser, of Topeka; Grant Gresser, of Admire; C. E. Gresser, of Rossville, and Rollin Gresser, of Baxter Springs, Kansas, to mourn his departure.

He had served in the U. S. army as staff sergeant [sic] for fifteen years, with service on the Mexican border, Washington, D. C., and Ft. Riley. He had been stationed at Riley for the past ten years, and was a chemist in the hospital. His military record showed that he enlisted six times and was discharged five times, each time with a record of excellent character and no demerits.

The funeral was held Tuesday at Ft. Riley with full military honors. Burial was in the Ft. Riley cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Gresser were at Fort Riley, Tuesday to attend the funeral of his brother, Clark, who passed away Sunday evening.
