| Obituary- Grimm, Edna 1 MRS EDNA GRIMM
Mrs. Edna Place Grimm, 65, Eudora, died Tuesday, September 14, 1976 in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted Monday afternoon after she was stricken while visiting in Topeka. She had a heart attack.
She was born June 27, 1911 at Delia, the daughter of James and Matilda McClain. She lived at Holton before she moved to Douglas County in 1949.
She worked at the Sunflower Ordnance Plant from 1951 to 1957 and later was employed in Lawrence. She was a member of the former Glad Tidings Church at Holton.
A son, Charles Place, died May 28, 1971.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Mina Luther, Mrs. Mary Fish, Mrs. Lucille Baise, Mrs. Norma Collins, and Mrs. Elaine Barnes, all of Eudora, and Mrs. Paulette Wielgopolski, address unavailable; and three sons, Gene Place and James Place, both of Eudora, and Nick Place, Lawrence.
Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Stacia Eakin, Delia, Mrs. Nona Hurla,
Hollister, Mo., Mrs. Ruth Whittington, Eudora, and Myrnah McClain, Glendale,
Calif.; three brothers, Samuel McClain Soldier, John McClain, Benkelman, Nebr., and Fred McClain, Osawatomie; 41 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Christian Church in North Lawrence. Burial will be in Olive Hill Cemetery about eight miles west of Holton under the direction of Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
