| Obituary- Flott, Velma Velma Flott
ROSSVILLE — Velma Dora Flott, 92, Rossville, died Sunday, Oct. 15,2000, at a Rossville nursing home.
Mrs. Flott worked in the food service at Hallmark Cards before she retired.
She was born Sept. 16, 1908, at Formosa, the daughter of Edwin Hart Walker Sr. and Myrtle Evelyn Magnuson Walker. She moved to Topeka in 1927 and to Rossville in 1998.
Mrs. Flott was a member of the Oakland Christian Church.
She married Charles L. Flott in 1934 at Topeka. He died May 14, 1950. She also was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jerry Dean Flott in February 1998 and Timothy A. Flott in July 1965.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Eugene Flott, Topeka, and Gary Hart Flott of Mill, Wyo.; a brother, Edwin H. Walker Jr., Topeka; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Flott will lie in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
