| Obituary- Hanrahan, Edward Edward Bernard Hanrahan
Edward Bernard “Bernie” Hanra¬han, 61, Topeka, died Sunday, April 28, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Hanrahan worked for Sperry Univac Business Machines 26 years before he retired in 1981. He also operated Hanrahan Retail Liquor Store. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was born Nov. 24, 1929, in De¬lia, the son of Thomas and Anna Kelly Hanrahan.
Mr. Hanrahan was a member of the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Knights of Columbus Council No. 534, and Moose Lodge No. 555, and was a former member of the Ameri¬can Legion.
He was married to Patricia Hoover Feb. 23, 1957, in Topeka. She sur¬vives.
Other survivors include a son, Terry Hanrahan, Topeka; two daughters, Denise Sabatini and Diane Hibbert, both of Topeka; his mother, Anna Hanrahan, Topeka; six brothers, Bill Hanrahan, South Gate, Calif., and Leo Hanrahan, Tom Hanrahan, Rob¬ert Hanrahan, John Hanrahan, and Don Hanrahan, all of Topeka; six sis¬ters, Lorraine Halloran and Pauline Aldridge, both of Gardena, Calif., Helen Metzger, Palos Verdes, Calif., Grace Gillgannon, Topeka, Margaret Ayers, Olathe, and Shirley Stewart, Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Catholic Church of the Assumption. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Hanrahan will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan Funeral Home where rosaries will be recited by Daughters of Isabella at 6:30 p.m., Knights of Columbus Council No. 534 at 7 p.m. and the parish at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Church of the Assumption, 204 W. 8th, 66603.
Notice
Hanrahan Liquor will close at 5 pm on Tuesday, April 30th & will be closed Wednesday, May 1st due to the death of Mr. Hanrahan and will reopen Thursday, May 2nd at 9 am.
