Thomas and Donis Hanrahan, Topeka, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Moose Lodge in Topeka, with a dance following the reception.
Hosts will be their children, Thomas Jr. and Sylinda Hanrahan, Tahlequah, Okla.; Debbie and Richard Burkett, Topeka; Dennis Hanrahan, Topeka; Cindy and Rob Cairns, Silver Lake; Theresa and Ron McCullah, Topeka; Vickie and Dave Jacques, Topeka; Lori Fisher, Topeka; and Deanna and Wes Brandenburgh, Hoyt. The couple have 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Thomas Hanrahan and Donis DeHart were married Oct. 8, 1945, in Lawrence.
Mr. Hanrahan is retired from Unisys Corp, after 37 years of service.
Mrs. Hanrahan previously worked for Kriz-Davis Electric and the state of Kansas.
The couple request no gifts be given.

Tom and Donis Hanrahan will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at the 4 p.m. Mass Oct. 8 at Assumption Catholic Church followed by a family dinner.
Their children will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 9 at the couple’s home, 5240 N.E. Indian Creek Road.
The couple were married Oct. 8,1945, in Lawrence.
Their children are Tom Jr. and Sylinda Hanrahan, Tahlequah, Okla.; Debbie and Richard Burkett, Dennis Hanrahan, Theresa and Ron McCullah, Vickie and Dave Jacques, Lori Fisher, all of Topeka; and Deanna and Wes Brandenburgh, Hoyt. They have 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hanrahan retired from Sperry-Univac after 37 years of service.
Mrs. Hanrahan worked for Jostens, Kriz-Davis and the State of Kansas before retiring.

Thomas J. Hanrahan, 81, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009. He was born October 1, 1927 in Delia, Kansas, the son of Thomas and Anna (Kelly) Hanrahan.
He married Donis M. DeHart on October 8, 1945. Tom served two years in the United States Navy and then worked 37 years for UNISYS. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 400, Moose Lodge No. 555, Mater Dei Assumption Church and Mother Teresa of Cal¬cutta Church. After retirement, Tom and Donis spent the last 20 years as winter Texans in Weslaco, TX where Tom enjoyed playing cards and pool with his many friends. Tom was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Donis of the home; two sons, Thomas Jr. (Cindy Jo) Hanrahan, Tahlequah, OK and Dennis Hanrahan, Topeka; five daughters, Debbie (Richard) Burkett, Theresa (Ron) McCullah, Vickie (Dave) Jacques, and Lori Fisher all of Topeka, and Deanna (Wes) Brandenburgh, Hoyt, KS; 27 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Don (Pat) and John of Topeka, and Robert of Florida; sisters, Grace Gillgannon, Topeka; Helen Mesker, California, Margaret Ayers, Nevada, and Shirley Stewart, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cynthia Cairns, granddaughter, Crystal Burkett and great-grandson, Isaiah Cairns; brothers, Leo, Eugene, Bernard, and Bill Hanrahan and sisters, Dolly Halleron and Pauline Aldridge.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church. Interment with military honors by American Legion Post No. 400 will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Topeka. Mr. Hanrahan will lie in state after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Tuesday.
