    The family of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bailey, Silver Lake, invite friends and relatives to attend a reception honoring their 50th wedding anniversary. The reception will be at the Silver Lake Senior Citizens Community Building on Saturday, November 2, 1991, from 2:00 to 4:00. The couple requests no gifts, please.

    Stanley Bailey
    SILVER LAKE – Stanley Bailey, 80, Silver Lake, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 1996, at a Rossville nursing home.
    Mr. Bailey farmed northwest of Meriden in Jackson County. He worked for the state of Kansas janitorial service from 1965 until he retired in 1977. He earlier worked two years in the Stormont-Vail janitorial service.
    He was born June 27, 1915, north of Silver Lake, the son of Mirl and Effie Day Bailey. He had lived at Silver Lake since 1969.
    Mr. Bailey was a member of Silver Lake United Methodist Church and a charter member of Silver Lake Senior Citizens Inc. He was a 50-year member of Lake Lodge No. 50 AF&AM. He also had been a Boy Scout Leader at Meriden and a Webelo Leader at Silver Lake.
    He was married to Ellen Olivia McRoberts on Nov. 1, 1941, at Topeka. She survives.
    Other Survivors include three men he and his wife helped rear, Terry Jones, Escondido, Calif., Tim Jones, Santee, Calif., and Steve Jones, Topeka.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Parker-Price Mortuary at Topeka. Burial with Masonic graveside services conducted by Lake Lodge No. 50 AF&AM will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery at Grove. Mr. Bailey will lie in state after noon today at the Parker-Price Mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Silver Lake United Methodist Church, P.O.
