    William C. Harrison, 51, Mayetta, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1986, at a Topeka hospital.

    Dr. William N. Leifer, Shawnee County deputy district coroner, said Mr. Harrison died from internal bleeding caused by a knife wound to his left chest. Jackson County officials are investigating Mr. Harrison’s death.

    Mr. Harrison was a painter.

    He was born Aug. 2, 1935, on the Potawatomi Indian Reservation near Mayetta, the son of Charles Harrison Sr., and Minnie Nozhackum Harrison. He spent most of his life in the area.

    Mr. Harrison was a member of the Pottawatomi Band of Winnebago Indian Tribe.

    Two sons, David Harrison and Robert Harrison, preceded him in death.

    Survivors include two sons, Robert Lang and Billy Harrison, both of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Cornelia Donahue and Mrs. La Vera Adame, both of Mayetta; four brothers, John Harrison, Wichita, Charles Harrison Jr., Kansas City, Mo., and Vernon Harrison and Franklin Harrison, both of Mayetta; and three grandchildren.

    Arrangements are pending at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.

    Wake services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday; services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at Mercer Funeral Home.
