    Marlin Harth
    Marlin L. Harth, 86, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at a Topeka nursing home.

    He was born April 9, 1917, in Dover Township, Shawnee County, the son of Fred and Allie DeShazo Harth.

    He was raised in the Willard community and graduated from Rossville High School in 1935. He had lived in Topeka and later in Kansas City, moving to Rossville in 1946, where he lived until he moved to Overbrook in 1959. He moved to Bella Vista, AR in 1979, and back to Topeka in the fall of 1995.

    He was a district manager for Kansas Power and Light at Overbrook for many years. He was a member of the Southwest Christian Church, Topeka; a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 304, Topeka, for 57 years; a 58-year member of Hesperian Lodge No. 111 at Rossville, which consolidated with Lake Lodge No. 50 at Silver Lake; and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, having been a member of Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, which consolidated with Loyal Chapter No. 176 at Silver Lake.

    On September 3, 1939, he married E. Lorene Parr. She survives.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Janet Dodge, Rossville; and a son Charles Harth, Overbrook; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

    His service was at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rossville Christian Church. Burial, with Lake Lodge No. 50 conducting a Masonic service, was in the Rossville Cemetery. A family visitation was held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Piper Funeral Chapel, Rossville.
