    Donald W. Hartzell
    Donald W. Hartzell, 60, 156 N.E. Coachlight Drive, died Saturday, May 25, at a Topeka hospital after a long illness.

    Mr. Hartzell worked for Merchants National Bank 35 years and was vice president of collections. He also was a piano player and played with local dance bands since he was 15 years old. He currently was playing with the Dean Fleming Band.

    He was born May 13, 1925, at Rossville, the son of O.B. and Viola M. Roush Hartzell. He lived in Topeka most of his life.

    Mr. Hartzell was a member of Musicians Union and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 555.
    He was married to Dora D. Wilkins Aug. 13, 1947, at Topeka. She survives.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Paula Kay Hartzell, Topeka; a son, Stanley Franklin Hartzell, Topeka; his mother, Mrs. Viola M. Hartzell, 600 W. 14th; a sister, Mrs. Marilyn Murdock, Wichita; and four grandchildren.

    Services are pending at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery. Mr. Hartzell will lie in state after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Youth For Christ, 1412 Polk, Topeka, 66612.
