WAMEGO -- Velma "Lorraine" Hasenbank, 79, formerly of St. George and St. Marys, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1995 at Manhattan.
Mrs. Hasenbank worked in food service at Kansas State University and at St. Marys Hospital before she retired.
She was born Nov. 14, 1916, at rural Rossville, the daughter of Charles Henry and Flossie Keech Rose. She was a lifelong resident of the Wamego area.
Mrs. Hasenbank was a member of Black Jack Post of the American Legion at St. George.
She married Cleo Carl Hasenbank on April 2, 1938 at Westmoreland. He died in 1970.
Survivors include eight sons, Keith Hasenbank, Adams, Ore., Forrest Hasenbank, St. George, Larry Hasenbank, Manyhattan, Lyle Hasenbank, Manhattan, Gary Hasenbank, Goessel, Dale Hasenbank and Don Hasenbank, both of Marion and Ricki Hasenbank, Newton; a daughter, Cleola Ward, Ovid, Mich.; seven brothers, Vernon Rowe, St. George, John Rowe, Oskaloosa, Russell Rowe, Eustus, Fla., Lawrence Rowe, Phoenix, Kenneth Row, Saline, Richard Rowe, Jemison, Ala., and Ron Rowe, Strong City; two sisters, Virginia Reed, Palm Springs, Ca., and Delores McNemar, Redding, Ca.; 45 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at R.J. Evans Mortuary at Wamego. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens at Manhattan. Mrs. Hassenbank will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.

Relatives and friends met at R.J. Evan Mortuary in Wamego Friday evening. Her service was at 10:00 Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Manhattan.
