    Charles H. Hladky Jr.
    PERRY — Charles H. Hladky, 83, Perry, died Thursday, March 11, 1993, at home.

    Mr. Hladky farmed near Perry and had worked at the Veterans Administration hospital in Topeka. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

    He was born July 6, 1909, in Delia, the son of Charles H. Hladky Sr., and Anna Macha Hladky.

    Mr. Hladky was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Perry and Knights of Columbus Council No. 4254 and Philip Billard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1650.

    He was married to Mary Noll May 4, 1957, in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka. She survives.

    Other survivors include five sisters, Margaret Hladky, Elsie Hladky, Mildred Becher and Betty Kaberline, all of Topeka, and Maxine Grimes, Norfolk, Va.; and three brothers, Loren Hladky and Donald Hladky, both of Topeka, and Leo Hladky, Elyria, Ohio.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Perry. Military graveside services will be conducted by Philip Billard VFW Post No. 1650 in Mount Calvary Cemetery near Newman. Mr. Hladky will lie in state after 2 p.m. Monday at Brennan Funeral Home in Topeka, where rosaries will be recited by Knights of Columbus Council No. 4254 at 6 p.m., Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle No. 503 at 6:30 p.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday. He will lie in state after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Theresa's Church.
