    Hobart
    Mr. J.F. Hobart passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, March 29, 1944. Mr. Hobart was born in Bohemia in 1860, and came to this country when a young man. He was married in Iowa in 1888., and he and Mrs. Hobart celebrated their fifty-sixth wedding anniversary last June. He was the father of ten children, of whom six are living, who with his wife are his survivors. He was a kind and friendly man, always ready to stop and greet his many friends.

    Those left are his widow; and children: Mrs. Agnes Van Benthem, of Atchison, Mrs. Josie Anderson of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Christina Copeland, Tacoma, Wash., Edward Hobart, S.K. 3/c Camp Perry, Va., Joseph Hobart of Topeka, and Louis of the home; and eight grandchildren, of whom four are grandsons, serving in the armed forces.

    Service were held at the Sacred Heart Church Friday morning at 10 o'clock with a requiem high mass, Rev. Fr. Twomey officiating. Pall bearers were Pete and Joe Lane, Ed Macha, Wm. McCarty, Joe McNeive and Nate Burgett.
