    Holcomb

    Mrs. Beulah I. Holcomb, 92, Holton, died Saturday, March 8, at a Holton nursing home.

    She was born Oct. 14, 1893, at Depworth, Ky., the daughter of Frank and Nora Nash Highfield. She lived in Holton since 1952 and previously lived in the Powhattan community.

    Mrs. Holcomb was a member of the United Methodist Church at Powhattan and a 50-year member of Zenith Chapter No. 184 of the Order of Eastern Star at Hiawatha.

    Her husband, Frank C. Holcomb, died in 1938. She also was preceded in death by a son, Otis C. Holcomb, and a daughter, Mrs. Violet Moser.

    Survivors include a son, Thomas D. Holcomb, Cheyenne, Wyo.; and eight grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tues¬day, March 11, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Rev. Duane Kessler officiated. Vocal and organ music were furnished by Mrs. Ray Wright. She sang “How Great Thou Art.”

    Casketbearers were Gale Pfister and her grandsons. Interment was in the Powhattan Cemetery.
