    G. S. Hoover
    George Samuel Hoover was born near Lexington, Kentucky, July 20, 1866. He passed away December 17, 1934, at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 27 days.

    When he was three years old his parents moved to Missouri, where he grew up. As a young man he lived and worked in Kansas City for several years. Later he located near Rossville, and for over 40 years he has been a successful farmer in this community.

    On May 22, 1891, he was united in marriage to Anna Hass, and after these years together, she is left to mourn his going. Other survivors include three brothers, Tom Hoover of Independence, Mo., Wiley and Harvey Hoover, of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Alma Lasswell of Topeka, also numerous nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held at Conwell’s Mortuary Chapel in Topeka, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Horton. Two solos were sung by Mrs. Grace Rogers, accompanied by Miss Lorene Parr. The pall-bearers were George Bickelhaupt, Edward Richmond, Herman Johnson, H. E. McCollough, A.N. White and Ted Fields.

    Burial was in the Rossville cemetery.
