    Margaret Hejtmanek
    Margaret Lera Hejtmanek, Delia, died Tuesday, November 21, 2000, at St. Marys Hospital.
    Mrs. Hejtmanek was a registered nurse and had worked at the Security Benefit Association Hospital, Topeka, as well as with the Army as a field nurse in the European Theater during World War II. She also was a former postmaster in Delia.
    She was born October 10, 1916, in Sharon Springs, the daughter of Sam and Mattie Paine Ketchum. She graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University. She later graduated from Christ School of Nursing, Topeka.
    Mrs. Hejtmanek was a member of Delia Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
    She married Milan J. Hejtmanek on December 13, 1945, in Lyndon. He died October 9, 1983.
    Survivors include a daughter, Penny P. Stafford, Orlando, FL; a son, Milan G. Hejtmanek, Philadelphia, PA; a brother, Kenneth Ketchum, Sebring, FL; and three grandchildren.
    Her service was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka. Burial was in the Czech-Moravan Cemetery near Delia. Visitation was held at the mortuary from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday.

    DELIA — Margaret Lera Hejtmanek, 84, Delia, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at a St. Marys hospital.
