    Clarence P. Huerter
    GOFF — Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Holton for Clarence Paul Huerter, 84, Goff, who died Saturday, Aug. 13, 1994, at a nursing home in Holton.

    He was born May 14, 1910, in Seneca, the son of Herman and Pauline Roeder Huerter. He was graduated from Sts. Peter and. Paul High School in Seneca. He lived in the Seneca community before he moved to Goff in 1937. He had worked with the Works Progress Administration in Seneca and was a farmer and stockman many years.

    He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore.

    He was married to Frances Anna Broxterman Feb. 4, 1932, in Baileyville. She survives. A grandson, Brad Glassel, died June 11, 1985.

    Other survivors include three daughters, Cletamae Brown, Holton, Darlene Glassel, Valley Falls, and Gladys Parnell, Rossville; two brothers, Fabian Huerter, Milo, Iowa, and Norbert Huerter, Seneca; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grand-children.

    Burial will be in Wetmore Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.

    Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore or to Merry Manor nursing home in Holton and sent in care of Kansas State Bank in Holton, 66436.
