    Virginia "Gee Gee" Hundley
    (March 18, 1922 - February 22, 2013)
    Virginia L. “Gee Gee” Hundley, 90, of Hiawatha, died Friday February 22, 2013 at Rossville Healthcare.

    She was born in Wamego, Kansas March 18, 1922. The daughter of R.K. and Lorene Ince, she graduated from Wamego High School and Cosmetology School in Topeka.

    Virginia married W.E. “Bus” Hundley in San Diego, California June 1, 1943. They had two children Sharon and Gary.

    Virginia worked at the Department of Agriculture in Hiawatha for thirty-three years. She was an avid bridge player, belonging to many bridge clubs, was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star Zenith Chapter 184, NARFE and First United Methodist Church of Hiawatha. She loved to sew.

    Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Sharon A. and Jim Kenney, son Gary L. Hundley both of Topeka, sister Peggy Elder Wamego, grandson Shawn Lucas and Amy, great grandchildren Cole and Josie Lucas all of Topeka, step grandson J.D. and Kelli Kenney and step great grandchildren Jimmy, Parker and Maddie Kenney of Rossville.

    Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Raymond and Robert Ince, sisters Mildred Brown, Lucile “Sissy” Edwards, Roberta “Bert” Stroman, four brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws.

    The family will receive visitors at 1 PM Friday with services following at 2 PM at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. Private interment will be at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.

    In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a memorial contribution be made in Virginia’s name to Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th Street, Suite 100, Topeka, KS 66614 or to charity of your liking.
