Mrs. Nona Ethel Hurla, 85, Louisburg, died Friday, June 1, 1990, at her home.
She was born July 26, 1904, at Delia, the daughter of James Henry and Matilda Eisermann McClain. She had lived in Louisburg since February this year. She previously had lived in Morrill, and Hollister, Mo.
Mrs. Hurla was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Branson, Mo.
She married Henry Bernard Hurla Nov. 12, 1923, at Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include six daughters, Bemadine Hirth and Alice Joan Johnson, both of Kansas City, Kan., Laveta McQuade, Nanteca, Calif., Rita Schuster, Morrill, Wanda Harris, Hope Hull, Ala., and Barbara Boots, Prairie Village; a son, Jerome Hurla, Kansas City, Kan,; a sister, Mymah McClain, Glendale, Calif.; a brother, Samuel McClain, Soldier; 25 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, Holton. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Holton. Mercer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
