    Evelyn M. Hutton
    Evelyn M. Hutton, 94, Topeka, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014.

    Evelyn was born March 23,1920, in Emmett KS, the daughter of Michael and Sarah Lacy O’Connor. On February 17, 1947, Evelyn and John R. Hutton, Jr. were united in marriage. They lived in El Reno OK, where she cared for her father for 15 years. Evelyn and John moved to Merriam KS where they lived for 21 years. She was a member of the Miraculous Medal Society and while a member of St. Pius X Church volunteered at St. Mary’s Food Kitchen from 1981 to 1988. John died Feb. 11, 1988. Evelyn then moved to Topeka and was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church where she kept an Adoration Hour for over 13 years.

    Evelyn is survived by her sister-in-law, Julia O’Connor; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters, Mary Redman, Catherine Jacobson, Frank O’Connor, Josephine Welchhans, Bernard O’Connor, Bernadine Velasco, Leo O’Connor, Leona O’Connor and Dorothy Heere. Visitation will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. A parish rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
