  Documents		Marriage- Olson, Ruth-Immenschuh, Robert Olson-Immenschuh An impressive wedding ceremony was performed at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Christian church for Miss Ruth Olson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Olson and Mr. Robert Immenschuh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Immenschuh of Rossville. Mrs. Maxine Trimble played a prelude of nuptial music as the guests were being seated by the ushers Mr. Herbert Trimble and Mr. Bert Hayes. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Lorraine Harth sang, "Because" accompanied by Mrs. Trimble who played the processional, Lohengrins wedding march as the minister, groom and best man, James Dick, entered the chancel from the right. Miss Darlene Allen as brides maid, came down the aisle followed by the bride on the arm of her father, Delbert Olson, who gave her in marriage. Douglas Donavan performed the single ring ceremony. The bride was attired in Fushia satin frock made along simple lines, trimmed in white. She wore a black velvet hat and black suede shoes. Her corsage was of blue and white carnations. The brides maid was attired in saphire [sic] blue satin with black accessories and a pink and white carnation corsage. The groom wore a blue business suit and the best man wore grey. The groom's mother, Mrs. Immenschuh wore a heather gray crepe, and a corsage of American Beauty Roses. The brides mother chose an Emerald green dress, and each wore a corsage of American Beauty roses and both wore black accessories. The altar and the front of the church was beautifully decorated with ferns, potted plants and fall flowers. Mrs. Douglas Donovan had charge of the gift table. A reception was held at the Community Center at 4:30 p.m. for the newlyweds. The bride and groom cut the first slice of wedding cake. Mrs. Dora Immenschuh then cut and served the cake. The 2-tier wedding cake was topped with a miniature bride and groom. Refreshments of sandwiches, potato salad, fruit salad with whipped cream, wedding cake and coffee were served to the following guests Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Schraeder and three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Rickstatter of St. Marys; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Schutter and Ronie Alan, Sharon Kay and Allana of Alma; Mr. and Mrs. Philip Immenschuh and Linda, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Immenschuh, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Donovan and Patsy, of Manhattan; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Decker, Sharon and Wanda, Miss Darlene Allen, Mr. James Dick, Miss Grace Dick and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Olson. The bride and groom opened their many lovely and useful gifts before the luncheon. Miss Grace Dick took many pictures of the wedding party at the ceremony and the reception. [From 20 Sep 1951]

Leifer, Shawnee County deputy district coroner, said Mr. Immenschuh suffered an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Mr. Immenschuh was a layout specialist for Topeka Foundry and Iron Works the past 10 years. He previously was a bulldozer operator for James Rezac Construction Co. 12 years and a welder for Henry Manufacturing Co., and Allis Chalmers. He was born Oct. 7, 1932, at Rossville, the son of Phillip Charles and Dora Marie Simecka Immenschuh. He attended Rossville schools and was graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1950. Mr. Immenschuh was an associate member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion and Peoples State Rollers Club, both at Rossville. He was married to Ruth Olson Sept. 16, 1951, at Rossville. She survives. A daughter, Kathleen Marie Immenschuh, died Jan 2, 1952. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marcia Dechand, Meriden, and Mrs. Roberta Lemay, Council Grove; a son, Russell Immenschuh, Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Helen Decker, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Marvin Immenschuh, Delia; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Immenschuh will lie in state after 3 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Immenschuh was married to Ruth Olson on September 16, 1951, at Rossville. She survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Marie Immenschuh, January 2, 1952. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Marcia Dechand, Meriden, and Mrs. Robert Lemay, Council Grove; a son, Russell Immenschuh, Rossville; a brother, Marvin Immenschuh, Delia; a sister, Mrs. Helen Decker, Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Parker-Price Mortuary with the Rev. Robert Sieh officiating. Interment was in Rossville Cemetery.
