• Documents		Obituary- Irwin, Harold E. 1 Harold Eugene ‘Gene’ Irwin TUCSON, Ariz. — Harold Eugene "Gene” Irwin, 51, Tucson, formerly of Rossville, Kan., died Monday, Sept. 6, 1993, at his home. Mr. Irwin was a self-employed automobile mechanic, specializing in repair and restoration of antique and classic autos. He served in the Navy from May 1960 to the fall of 1961. He was born May 15, 1942, in Wichita, the son of Harold O. and Mildred Newman Irwin. He was graduated in 1960 from Rossville High School. He was married to Shirley Bond in 1962. They later were divorced. He and his second wife, Mrs. Jane Parks Irwin, also were divorced. Survivors include five daughters, Kim Wisely, Emmett, Karen Irwin, Rossville, and Kelly Irwin, Deborah Irwin and Angel Irwin, all of Topeka; his parents, Harold and Mildred Irwin, Rossville; a sister, Sharon Fannin, Tonganoxie; and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Irwin donated his body to the University of Tucson Medical Center with cremation to follow. Memorial services will be held at a later time with inurnment in Rossville Cemetery. Verschelden Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of Kansas arrangements. Irwin services ROSSVILLE — Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Rossville United Methodist Church for Harold Eugene "Gene" Irwin, 51, Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Rossville, who died Sept. 6, 1993, at his home. Mr. Irwin donated his body to the University of Tucson Medical Center for research. Cremation is planned and inurnment will be in Rossville Cemetery.
