| Obituary- James, Charity Charity W. James
Services for Mrs. Charity W. James, 89, 215 Edgewood, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Rossville Methodist Church with burial in the Rossville Cemetery. She will lie in state at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary until noon Wednesday. She died Sunday at her home after a long illness.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Campbell, she was born Feb. 17, 1872, in Indiana and came to Kansas with her parents when she was a child. She lived in the Silver Lake and Rossville communities before moving to Topeka in 1938. She and Harvey D. James were married April 1, 1900.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Crater of the home, Mrs. Mildred Cless, 1631 W. 28th, and Mrs. Gladys Stevens of Yakima, Wash.; three grand children, and six great-grandchildren.
