    Mrs. Iva E. James
    Mrs. Iva E. James, 89, died Sunday at the home of her son, Roy R. Hawks of 1334 West Seventeenth, Topeka.

    She was born April 4, 1862, in Iowa and moved to Kansas with her parents as a child. She lived in the Rossville community before moving to Topeka, 16 years ago. Some years after the death of her husband Ed Hawks, she married the late Robert James of Rossville. Mr. James died some years ago.

    She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Barber of Plainsville, son Roy R. Hawks, three half-sisters, a half brother and 11 grandchildren.

    Services were held at 12:30 p.m. at Wednesday, at the Wall-Diffenderfer mortuary. Burial was in Rossville cemetery.
